The Author

Kirsty Moseley

My name is Kirsty. I was born in Hertfordshire, England. In 2000 I moved to Norfolk, it was there that I met my husband, Lee. Now, what can I say about Lee, apart from everyone should have one? He’s my biggest supporter, and I wouldn’t be where I am today without his encouragement and endless support. He is my inspiration behind most of my male leads, I always try to bring a little of him in somewhere, be it his kindness, selflessness, or just his ability to make me feel treasured.

In 2005, I was gifted with the birth of my son. He is, and always will be, the best thing I have ever done in my life. As you can probably tell, I’m a very proud mummy. I have always been interested in writing, but after the birth of my son I accidentally came across an amateur writing site. After a couple of months of just reading on there, I finally plucked up the courage and posted one of my stories. I was shocked and overwhelmed by the support of readers on there and they gave me the confidence to get where I am today. In April 2012, I self-published my first novel ‘The Boy Who Sneaks in my Bedroom Window’. And in October 2012 I took the plunge again, publishing my second novel, ‘Always You.’ Lastly, if I had to sum myself up in one word, it would probably be ‘daydreamer’ – but unlike most of my school teachers, I don’t necessarily view that as a bad thing. After all, I read somewhere once that books are like waking dreams….

#1 New York Times Bestseller Jamie McGuire returns to self-publishing with this page-turning YA account of Erin Easter, one of three Erins in the small senior class of rural Blackwell High School who not only share a first name, but also their birthday. Erin Easter, raised by a neglectful single mom, keeps to herself and admires Weston Gates from afar. The other Erins, Erin A. and Erin M. are the darlings of the community: daughters of the two wealthiest families in town, best friends, cheerleaders, and everything Erin Easter isn’t–and they never let her forget it. Erin A. has even claimed Weston since the 8th grade.
Weston is a well-liked star athlete, and the son of two prominent attorneys. He struggles daily with the pressures of living up to his family name and secretly empathizes with Erin Easter’s feeling that she belongs somewhere else; in a different life. Not until he begins sneaking nights out with Erin does he gain the courage to buck expectations and acknowledge his feelings … both for his future, and for her.
But when a shocking tragedy rocks the tiny town, Erin’s life is turned upside down in the best way possible. But when the truth is revealed and everything Erin thinks she wanted falls into her lap, life only becomes more complicated.

TEASER

“What are you reading?” A deep voice asked from the seat behind me.

I barely acknowledged Weston’s question, holding the cover of my book just high enough for him to see.
He nodded, waiting for me to speak. When I didn’t, he offered a small smile, and began to sit back. “What are you reading?” I asked.
Weston immediately leaned toward me, sharing his cover the way I had.
“Piers Anthony?” Weston cleared his throat to stifle a cough, and then smiled. “I like his stuff.”
I nodded. “I approve.”
“Good,” Weston whispered. “I was worried.” After a short pause, he leaned into my ear again. “Why don’t you ever talk to me in Art class?”
We had Art together in seventh period, the class I looked forward to all day. Weston was in there, but more importantly, people like the Erins and Brady weren’t. We were serious about our work, and it was the one place during the school day that I could be myself.
“I guess I was just busy.”
“Are you going to be busy today?”
“Probably.”
“Well, maybe I’ll get lucky and you’ll take a break.” I turned around to hide my grin, but not before glancing back and seeing the familiar look of hatred in Alder’s eyes.
Whore, she mouthed, glaring at me.

*BLOG TOUR* Fall into Forever- Beth Hyland

TITLE: Fall Into Forever

AUTHOR: Beth Hyland

AGE GROUP: NA

GENRE: Contemporary Romance

RELEASE DATE: March 10, 2014

HOSTED BY: Wordsmith Publicity

Some girls may find guys like Jon exciting and charming. Some are even naive enough to want to date them. But guys like him can harbor dark, dangerous secrets. Secrets you don’t want to know or be involved in. How do you think they got this way in the first place? It’s best to follow your head and stay as far away from them as possible.

Trust me when I say this: Guys like Jon Priestly are nothing but trouble.

Ivy McAllister had it all. Perfect boyfriend. Perfect life. Perfect future. Or so they tell her. Because one night, on a dark country road, a fiery crash changed everything…and Ivy can’t remember what happened.

Now, two years later, at a new college far from home, she tries to regain control of her life, but her plans don’t include a tattooed, motorcycle-riding, indie music-obsessed guy with his own sorority girl fan club.

Jon Priestly is the hottest guy at Pacific State University. Just ask his groupies. But with a dark past he must keep hidden, he shuts himself off emotionally and trusts no one. That is…until he meets a broken girl with haunting green eyes and secrets of her own.

Ivy shouldn’t be attracted to Jon. They’re wrong for each other in every possible way. Yet as they spend time together, something about him—everything about him—feels so right.

But when threats from her past make her question what little she does remember, Ivy must decide whether to run again or trust the one person she can’t live without.

Book Review
Love can be giving into chance and falling for what might be dangerous but also pure and honest. Fall into Forever by Beth Hyland was such an amazing read. It dealt with some strong issues of hurt and pain but also of strength and happiness.
Two years after a horrible accident that left her with no recollection and a dead boyfriend Ivy has been through a lot, tainted by torture and pain she transfers schools.
With a lack of memories and shyness to devolve into anything in the past she brings so much heart to a heart-warming narrative. I loved the narrative because it was fun and a really well written piece. After Ivy was dragged to “The White House” frat party, she meets hunk Jon Priestly in a chance encounter. Drool. He sounds so swoon worthy and irresistible.

There is a draw between Ivy and Jon which I loved. Connection between the two main characters is important and I absolutely loved how although they have their own demons they bring out the best in each other coincidentally.
I loved this book, it was fun and romantic. I would like to have seen though more development in their relationship before skipping from friends to boyfriend/girlfriend. Narratives that do that are great, but I would have loved to see a little more interaction within.
Overall, I absolutely loved the narrative, it told a story about heart-felt love and moving forward with life. The romance scenes were really lovely and It was poetic to see characters grow and develop as Ivy and Jon did. I rated a 4-Lit Love, it was fitting to passion, love and overall an amazing read.

*RELEASE LAUNCH* Broken Dreams – Kelly Elliott

SYNOPSIS:

Courtney Will always dreamed of finding her Prince Charming and living happily ever after, like in the fairy tales she read as a child. Her dreams were shattered one fateful night when her prince turned out to be her worst nightmare. Burying herself in her job as an editor, Courtney tried to forget her past, and she lost hope of ever finding true love.

Reed Moore’s past filled his world with guilt and anger, and then a mistake in college deepened these feelings. Fearing he will one day repeat his father’s mistakes with the woman he loves, Reed has vowed to never give his heart to anyone.

Reed and Courtney have each spent years building walls to guard their hearts, so when their feelings for one another explode into something unexpected, they argue and throw hurtful words at each other in hopes of avoiding the truth.

Will Reed end up being the Prince Charming Courtney has dreamed of her entire life? Is Courtney the woman who will help Reed move past the guilt and anger, so he can embrace love?
Can their broken dreams become their happily ever after?

EXCERPT:

“Mr. Moore?” Johnny called out.

Johnny was the high school kid I’d ended up hiring last week
to help out for a bit until Layton got back from his honeymoon. Johnny was
friends with Ryan, the kid Layton had hired last summer.

I stood up and walked over to the gate. “Hey, Johnny. You
get everything done?”

He nodded and smiled. “Yes, sir. Miss Will took Tink out for
a ride a little bit ago. Should I stay and help her with the horse when she
gets back?”

“Nah. Courtney is a big girl. She can handle it. Thanks,
dude. I’ll see you tomorrow after church, right? Mr. Morris will be back in the
afternoon, and then you can officially meet him.”

He reached out and shook my hand. “Sounds like a plan, sir.”

He turned and headed off to his old Chevy truck, and I
headed back to the chair I had been sitting in. It was so damn hot out, and all
I wanted to do was jump in the pool, but damn
Courtney had me sneaking around,
reading this stupid book of hers. I wouldn’t dare tell her I’d bought myself a
Kindle, and I had loaded her favorite book on it. I had to know what it was
that had always made her want to read it.

It didn’t take me long before I was completely engrossed in
Nick and Alexa’s world. I thought I heard a noise, but I couldn’t pull my eyes
away from the Kindle. Nick was just about to—

“Whatcha doin’ there?” Courtney whispered into my ear,
scaring the shit out of me.

I jumped up so fast that it caused me to lose my balance. I
stumbled backward and went right into the pool, Kindle and all.

Courtney started screaming, “No! My Kindle! You asshole, you
ruined my brand-new Kindle.”

I looked up at her as she began stomping her feet with her
hands flying everywhere, and I couldn’t help but smile.

I quickly removed the smile and started getting out of the
pool. “Nice. You’re worried about a stupid-ass Kindle. No, really, I’m fine,
Courtney. I didn’t just fall into a pool where I could have possibly hurt
myself.”

She stopped jumping around and looked at me. “It’s not like
you fell off a building, for

Christ’s sake. You fell into a pool…with my Kindle!”

She reached for the Kindle, and I swore she wiped a tear
away. I shook my head and then pulled my shirt up and over my head. Then, I
began unbuttoning my jeans.

“Whoa there, cowboy. Giving me a free strip show isn’t going
to make up for the fact that this is the second Kindle that has been destroyed
while…”

I pulled my jeans down, and she stopped talking while she
moved her eyes up and down my body. The moment she bit down on her lower lip
and let out a small moan, I felt my dick jump.

This girl is going to
kill me.

*BOOK REVIEW* Reclaiming the Sand- A. Meredith Walters

*BOOK REVIEW* Reclaiming the Sand- A. Meredith Walters

RtS Amazon GR SW

Reclaiming the Sand Synopsis:

Bully and victim.
Tormenter and tormented.
Villain and hero.

Ellie Mccallum was the bully. The Tormenter. The Villain. Taking what she wanted, stomping over anyone that got in her way. Feelings, futures, and relationships be damned. She felt no emotional connection to anyone or anything. A sad and lonely existence for a young woman who had come to expect nothing more for herself. Her only happiness coming from making others miserable.

Particularly Freaky Flynn.

Growing up, Flynn Hendrick was known only as “Freaky Flynn.” He lived a life completely disconnected even as he struggled to become something more than that boy with Asperger’s. He was taunted and teased, bearing the brunt of systematic and calculated cruelty, ultimately culminating in a catastrophic turn of events that brought Ellie and Flynn’s worlds crashing down.

But then Flynn and Ellie grew up.

And moved on.

Until years later when their paths unexpectedly cross again and the bully and the freak are face to face once more.

When labels come to define you, finding yourself feels impossible. Particularly for two people disconnected from the world who inexplicably find a connection in each other.

And out of the wreckage of their tragic beginnings, an unlikely love story unfolds.

But a painful past doesn’t always want to let go. And old wounds are never truly healed…and sometimes the farther you try to run from yourself the closer you come to who you really are.

REVIEW:

Poets write to be heard, Authors write to speak for those who can’t. In the incandescent rain of all the books that flow through my iPad, this review was probably the most emotional to write. Today’s review is on Reclaiming the Sand by A Meredith Walters.

Modeling a story that has never been told in this caliber. A bully. A victim. Two hearts. Two stories. In the poetically driven heart rendering book Reclaiming the Sand the emotional of the two characters don’t match words to a page. The flawless writing of such an emotional story brought me to tears. Such as a kind of novel that breaks through boundaries Reclaiming the Sand demonstrated a raw, sensitive and exposed story of Flynn, a male who grows up with Asperger’s. A tormentor, a friend or a lover Ellie comes into his life. This friendship that is created really did shed such bare and pointed passion.

The narrative guides past and present as Walters describes in-depth a pain, a life, a connection that cannot be faked. The narrative relates to not only the aspect of Asperger’s and the reality of people are treated, but also to the thin line between Bully and Victim. A ridiculous amount of kids get bullied at school, Walters through Ellie’s background and Flynn’s moving forward. The heartbreak and warmth are uncanny in a striped, raw, and flawless rendition of love, passion and two characters’ whose connection is more than the words that we speak every day. This book was a BEYOND Lit-Love star, because It hit chords of pain and suffering but also strung to remind us that trust, friendship and believing in yourself is important.

*BOOK REVIEW* Off the Record- K.A Linde

So I am totally in love with this book and I definitely recommend putting it on your TBR list. Off the Record by K.A Linde was a suit and tie romance that I fell in love with.

16781182

synopsisLiz Dougherty has no idea a single question is about to change her life.

Her first big reporting assignment for her North Carolina college newspaper has her covering a state senator’s impromptu press conference. Brady Maxwell may have everything it takes to be a politician—a winning pedigree, devastating good looks, a body made to wear suits—but his politics rub Liz the wrong way. When Liz’s hard-hitting question catches the upstart senator off-guard, it impresses Hayden Lane, Liz’s editor who feels she’s headed for a promising career as a reporter.

But Liz is also headed into a secret romance with Brady that could destroy both their ambitions. Though he’s a bachelor, potential voters might frown on Brady cozying up to a reporter. And Liz isn’t sure sneaking around is enough for her—especially when things between her and Hayden might be less platonic than she thought.

Sleek, sexy, and smart, Off the Record ventures into a high-stakes campaign and an even higher-stakes affair to answer the question: When politics and love collide, can there ever be a winner?

review

Politics are a cutthroat sport without the added bonus of emotional relationships. No to soon after beginning Off the Record by K A Linde, I fell in love with the driven personalities of Liz and Brady.  Liz is the driven college journalist that strives to have a big break. I can relate to this because I am majoring in Communications in university and it is a very driven community. Brady Maxwell, oh Brady. Suit, tie and a Senator with charm and charisma what more could you ask for in a male lead.

Off the Record is the first political romance I have ever read. It was amazing, from start to end. Liz and Brady’s characters felt really and authentic, although not everyone is in their positions the characters were still indefinably relatable. The narrative explored how politics can create, rectify and destroy a person’s life. I loved how the characters played of each other and the narrative flowed at ease. The strong will of Liz is what drew me so much further into the story than I originally thought I would be. The scenes are shaped with striking linguistic language appropriate to a college journalist and senator. The romantic scenes showed heart and sole into a life of politics that is rarely seen from the public’s point of view. I think Linde, did an astonishing job at creating an equilibrium of how to portray characters especially a politician in the public eye, but also in the private comforts.

Overall, the heart and sole of K A Linde’s writing brought power and drive into a narrative of a college journalist and Senator. I loved the narrative; the characters ambitions and feelings created heart and the language of the written word drove a home run into a beautiful novel. I rated it a 5-Lit Love because it had me turning the pages till the very end and I can’t wait for the second book in the series ‘On The Record.’

*BOOK REVIEW* Better- Carey Heywood

Title: Better
Author: Carey Heywood
 Release Date: February 17, 2014

** inspired by actual events **

Aubrey is embarking on a bucket list trip around the world, the last wish of her Aunt Ally. It was supposed to be the trip Ally would take when she got better. Now it’s just a chance for Aubrey to say goodbye.
Adam escapes in his solo trips overseas, working just enough to fund the next one. When the opportunity to circle the globe falls in his lap he can’t refuse. The only catch, he won’t be traveling alone this time.Unable to hide from each other Adam’s overprotective nature thwarts Aubrey’s desire to find her own way. Can they move past initial assumptions to find something better?
The raw uncanny emotions that streamed seemingly out of the page with Better by Carey Heywood left me feeling every emotion from a to z. The bucket list left by her dearly departed aunty leaves mystery and hope for a young and loving Aubrey. The trip of a life time doesn’t come without a companion by the name of Adam.
If I could list reasons A to Z as to why you should pick up this book and read it I would. All I can really describe without shedding a tear whilst writing, is that it is a tear-jerking; emotionally pivotal and loving romance that deviates how to move forward when you lose someone you love and how to create memories that show that you haven’t forgotten a loved one but you also haven’t let life get away from you. Phenomenal is a word that gets thrown around quiet a lot when I find a book I have so much admiration for. The tug-a-war my heart went through reading this book was emotional and gifting.
Better is about self discovery and dealing with a lost love one, which I think is what I related to so much. The story is filled with so much love and unexpected journeys.

The chemistry between Aubrey and Adam from the beginning was amazing. Adam is the typical stand-off player, but as they develop throughout the novel there was a light shone into an unexpected love that although started off on the wrong foot, turns into passion. I loved how Carey created Adam as a photographer and with a witty streak. The characters worked both emotionally and physically to create bonds and share memories, which demonstrates real life to a T.

Overall, the journey that Adam and Aubrey intertwine through demonstrates strong characters and a pivotal narrative that you will shed a tear to. It showed so much courage and love to create and write a novel like this. Carey did an amazing job at atmospherically inhabiting what so many have endured in real life, and demonstrated it within the characters. The importance of self discovery and learning to let go. Aubrey and Adams story is a tale of finding love and accepting love. I rated Better a 5-Lit Love, as it was so emotional and beautifully written. I kept a tissue on hand, and you may need one too.

But when a simple twist of fate changes everything and both girls start to fall for the lean, mean, ridiculously sexy and seemingly spoiled Leo… which girl will win his heart?

Throw in a little mischief, drama, and one smoking-hot bartender and lines are sure to blur. But one thing’s for certain, neither good-girl Maggie nor rebellious Clara will be satisfied until they each figure out where they belong.

*NEW ADULT ROMANCE. Recommended for 17+ due to sexual situations and adult language.

review

Where do I begin? The infectious debut novel by Sarah Darlington He Belongs With Me did nothing but ouzel words of heart and soul. It was passionate. Romantic. Heart felt. The narrative embedded heart melting, panty wetting moments that because of I literally couldn’t put down the book. You can probably tell by now, I have a thing for romances and especially the drop to your knees end up eating a whole tub of ice cream  because you don’t have a boyfriend romances.

Maggie and Clare are the dual protagonists of the narrative as identical twins who grew up with playboy Leo Maddox. At the very beginning, I had all sorts of images rolling through my brain to what Leo may look like. A Twist of fate in the most unlikely location made the narrative a heartwarming and good feel romance. I loved how Sarah took chances in her debut novel, because easily the characters could have taken different paths. It was heartwarming to see that Clara and Maggie both took chances in faith and show emotion.

The narrative was down to earth and played many of the love-hate relationships within the development and testing of feelings which I loved. The testing of feelings that developed throughout the book showed many levels of great skill in personal development of the characters through the writing. The characters had to face their own truths from past loves and new found loves which in turn created strong personalities and characters. As a debut novel writer, I loved the charm, belief and narrative that were created within the characters.

Overall I had so much love for this book and I rated the book a 5- Lit Love. It captured so much raw emotion and did such an amazing job at testing feelings, creating bonds and showing flawless emotions within the characters.
